Prepare Your Submission in Advance
Once you start your submission, you will be required to complete and submit the proposal in full. IASP recommends you review the following tasks and prepare required information in advance in a Word document. Once you start the submission, the process will take 5-10 minutes to complete.

Review and Edit Your Submission
After you complete and submit your proposal, you can review and edit your submission by clicking on your initials in the top right hand corner, select 'My Dashboard' followed by 'My Talks' located in the left hand menu bar.

Late Breaking Poster Abstract Submissions Closed

The IASP Neuropathic Pain Special Interest Group (SIG) will present peer-reviewed poster abstracts at NeuPSIG 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal, 7-9 September 2023. Abstracts on all areas of neuropathic pain were eligible for submission. 
 
Suitability will be judged by the Scientific Program Committee. Student poster submissions that are original and/or significant will be judged by the Scientific Program Committee for an award. Presenting authors can reference their poster presentations in their CVs.
Members and Non-Members affiliated with IASP’s Neuropathic Pain SIG were invited to submit poster abstracts for consideration and presentation at the International Symposium on Neuropathic Pain. All selected submitters will be required to be a member of IASP and the Neuropathic Pain SIG prior to presenting at NeuPSIG 2023 in Lisbon.

Poster Abstract Submission Guidelines
  • Abstracts must be submitted via the online submission site only. Abstracts submitted by email or fax will not be accepted.
  • Presenting authors should be prepared to register to attend NeuPSIG 2023. Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be listed in the official meeting publications.
  • Poster abstracts must describe original scientific material that has not been previously published or presented at other national or international meetings. IASP does not allow encore presentations. However, if a poster abstract was presented elsewhere only with preliminary results and complete results are now available, it may be submitted. The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • No changes will be made to the submitted and accepted abstracts.
Conflicts of Interest / Disclosure: Abstract submitters will be requested to confirm that they will declare any conflict of interest in their presentation at the International Symposium on Neuropathic Pain.

Poster Abstract Submissions
Poster presentations are eligible for Continuing Education credits. Given this qualification, there are specific regulations in place that IASP must recognize and implement.

IASP will NOT accept any poster that has been previously presented at another meeting. Poster abstracts must describe original scientific material that has not been previously published or presented at other national or international meetings. IASP does not allow encore presentations. However, if a poster abstract was presented elsewhere only with preliminary results and complete results are now available, it may be presented. Has this abstract been submitted to another meeting? If yes, provide name of meeting/event and event start date.

Author details
Names of First Authors, Presenting Author, Co-Author and Senior Author. Is the senior author an early career investigator? Is the first author an early career investigator?

Disclosure
Disclosure of financial relationships that the author(s) may have with the manufacturer/supplier of any commercial products or services related to the work, should be indicated in the appropriate box on the abstract form. View the Conflict of Interest statement here.

Task 4: Upload a Video Introduction (Optional)

Please know that you may still be able to submit your poster without a video, but NeuPSIG may request that you upload a video if your poster is accepted. If you are unsure what to show in your video, many submitters simply include a brief introduction of themselves, the co-authors, and the reason behind their research. Videos are typically 5 minutes in length. Upload a test video using .mp4 format. Please make note: the file size limit is 10MB.

Task 5: Add Authors

Each poster must have a minimum of a Presenting Author and a First Author. Information needed for each author:   

  • Name
  • Email
  • Organization
 When you have all of the details ready to submit, click 'Submit your Proposal here' at the bottom of the page, which will appear when Submissions open.

Please note: You will be required to complete the submission in full, however if you prepare all of the above in advance, the submission process will take no longer than 5-10 minutes to complete.

To review or edit your completed submission, click on your initials in the top right hand corner, select 'My Dashboard' and then 'My Talks' located in the left hand menu bar.
