Professional Bio

 Esther Eberhardt, MD, is a clinician scientist in the Institute of Neurophysiology and a specialist in Anesthesiology at the RWTH University Aachen (Germany). Besides her clinical education she graduated in Molecular Medicine and started to work as a research associate in Erlangen (Germany). Under the mentorships of Professor Angelika Lampert and Professor Beate Winner she completed her MD thesis on characterization of voltage-gated sodium channels in induced pluripotent stem cell-derived peripheral sensory neurons. In addition to her specialist training in Anesthesiology at the universities of Erlangen and Aachen she continued to work as a post-doc to strengthen her interest in the pathophysiology of neuropathic pain.
